Advanced Cell Volumizing® and Glutamine Preservation System®
• Volumizes Muscle Cells
• Supports New Muscle Growth
• Preserves Glutamine
Description: CytovolHp 25 servings from EAS.
With CytoVol, Cell Volumizing will never be the same. This great-tasting drink broadens the Cell-Volumizing focus way beyond the amino acids glutamine and taurine. Now with the addition of L-alanine, glycine, and inositol, hard-training athletes may be able to increase cell volume and produce an optimal cellular environment for new muscle growth.
Q: In the past I've used a simple glutamine supplement-just glutamine by itself. What's included in CytoVol that makes it a better product?
A: Besides 2.5 g of L-glutamine, in each serving of CytoVol (4 teaspoons) there are:
•2 g of Taurine: the second-most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue, which has cell-volumizing and "insulin-mimicking" effects.
•2 g of L-alanine: an amino acid metabolite that may help preserve muscle glutamine concentrations and can also have some cell-volumizing effects.
•500 mg of Inositol: a cell-hydrating and volumizing amino acid.
•250 mg of RNA: a form of yeast RNA that may have a glutamine sparing effect.
•1.5 g of Calcium AKG: a glutamine precursor that can efficiently bypass the gut and enter muscle cells where it can convert to glutamine.
•500 mg of Glycine: a cell-hydrating and volumizing amino acid.
•50 mcg of Manganese: a mineral that may support glutamine synthesis in muscle tissue.
Combined, the ingredients in CytoVol may enhance the muscle preservation of glutamine, the most important amino acid for weight lifters, according to Bill Phillips' Sports Supplement Review. Glutamine helps maintain proper cellular hydration or muscle cell volume. And when glutamine levels in muscle tissue falls, cell volume can decrease, which is catabolic-the opposite of what we want to build muscle tissue.

Q: How is CytoVol different from GKG?
A: CytoVol has the same glutamine preservation system as GKG, but EAS has also added other substances that may further enhance cell volumizing, like L-alanine, glycine, and inositol.
Q: What is the recommended serving size of CytoVol?
A: A recommended serving size is 4 teaspoons or 15 grams.
Q: Do you recommend a loading phase when taking CytoVol?
A: In the February 1997 issue of Muscle Media, EAS researcher Anthony Almada presented a theory that loading products containing glutamine may be as beneficial as loading creatine monohydrate. In that article, Anthony stated that four servings of CytoVol for a week, in evenly divided doses throughout the day may be the most beneficial way to begin CytoVol supplementation. One of the doses should be taken immediately after training and another should be taken before going to bed.
