Ignite has 13 active ingredients all designed to intensify your workout. Key Ingredients in Ignite:

Geranium (1,3-Dimethylamylamine or Methylhexamine)

This plant contains a powerful compound which has been shown to be more potent than ephedrine in some respects, but falls just short of being as powerful as amphetamine. Like ephedrine, it produces sympathomimetic effects in the body, resulting in strong Central Nervous System (CNS) stimulation, allowing for improved strength output, focus, alertness and mood. Side benefits may include fat loss due to potential appetite suppression, as well as through increased work capacity and the possibility of increased norepinephrine release.

Caffeine also has the benefit of fighting fatigue and drowsiness; enhancing the flow of thoughts; increasing alertness and improving intellectual efforts along with producing euphoria or a sense of well-being in some cases. Just as these methylxanthines can increase the effectiveness of compounds such as ephedrine, it is thought that it may do the same for the unique compound found in Geranium.

Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG)

When people mention “Nitric Oxide”, this is really what they’re talking about. Arginine is a precursor for nitric oxide production and improves blood flow and nutrient delivery (such as creatine or amino acids) to muscles.

Creatine Monohydrate

While we may negate the increase in Hydrogen ion levels in skeletal muscle by increasing carnosine levels, we still must overcome one more obstacle in order to allow us to prevent fatigue while working out. In this case, we must use a compound which can ultimately increase the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels in muscle. ATP, as we all know, is a high energy nucleotide which acts as the major energy carrying molecule in our bodies. Consequently, muscle fatigue is also related to energy loss in skeletal muscle, specifically, ATP being converted to adenosine diphosphate (ADP). In effect, one phosphate group is lost and must be replenished in order for the muscle cell to continue on working. By supplementing with creatine, we are able to increase the levels of phosphocreatine in muscle. Phosphocreatine is a high energy buffering compound which is able to donate a phosphate group to ADP, allowing the formation of ATP once again. In short, we can prevent or reduce fatigue from occurring by increasing phosphocreatine levels, which in turn will allow for the regeneration of ATP from ADP leading to greatly reducing physical and muscular exhaustion.

L-arginine is a protein amino acid present in all life forms. It is classified as a semi-essential or conditionally essential amino acid. Under normal circumstances, the body can synthesize sufficient L-arginine to meet physiological demands. L-arginine is thought to enhance the action of nitric oxide. L-arginine promotes the production of more nitric oxide in the body. L-arginine is required to carry out the synthesis of nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels and allows more blood to flow through the arteries, promoting erections.

Leucine is known as one of the three branch-chain amino acids. Leucine works with valine and isoleucine to protect and fuel the muscles. It also works to increase endurance and enhance energy. Leucine is an important amino acid for the production of hemoglobin. It maintains blood sugar levels and increases growth hormone production. Leucine is found in both animal and vegetable products.

Beta-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid and is the only naturally occurring beta-amino acid. Not to be confused with regular alanine, beta- alanine is classified as a non-proteinogenic amino acid, as it is not believed to be used in the building of proteins. The greatest natural dietary sources of beta-alanine are believed to be obtained through ingesting the beta-alanine containing dipeptides: carnosine, anserine and balenine, rather than directly ingesting beta-alanine. These dipeptides are found in protein rich foods such as chicken, beef, pork and fish. Beta-Alanine serves as the rate-limiting precursor of carnosine and as such, it has been shown that by supplementing with beta-alanine, you can greatly increase carnosine levels in skeletal muscle tissue.

Benefits of Beta-Alanine as supported by scientific studies:

» Increase Muscular Strength & Power Output.

» Increases Muscle Mass.

» Increase Anaerobic Endurance.

» Increases Aerobic Endurance.

» Delay Muscular Fatigue- Train Harder & Longer.

Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE)

Dimethylaminoethanol (or DMAE) is more widely known and marketed as a memory vitamin and mood enhancer, but some studies have shown that it improves intellectual functioning and mental acuity. These studies posit that DMAE has a role in increasing levels of the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine. This is why drugs and supplements called "cholinergics", which increase acetylcholine, have been used to treat Alzheimer's disease and ADHD.

Beta Phenylethylamine

Beta Phenylethylamine is a naturally occurring neurohormone/neurotransmitter (chemical signal messenger between nerves) that’s normally synthesized in the brain from the amino acid phenylalanine. PEA has the unique ability to increase the activity of the major neurotransmitters and improve your life functions. PEA increases the effects of dopamine (for wellbeing and feeling pleasure), norepinephrine (the brain’s stimulant for wakefulness and higher performance), acetylcholine (for improving memory and mental activity), and serotonin (for better mood emotion and impulse control). PEA is a highly-concentrated neurotransmitter in the limbic system (the brain’s emotional center) that increases motivation, physical drive, feelings and social activity.
