DHEA Deficiency

DHEA, or Dehydroepiandrosterone, is a hormone produced by your adrenal glands that is combined with cholesterol to be transformed into testosterone. Since it is a precursor of testosterone, lowered levels can prevent healthy levels of testosterone and result in symptoms associated with hypogonadism, or reduced androgens. Fatigue, decreased libigo, joint pain, muscle and hair loss, and increased fatty tissue are all associated with this deficiency. This can be mitigated through prohormone use to provide your body with alternative substrates from which to build testosterone levels in the body.
